Explanation: The writers get no money from this site, except for donations. They do it because they like writing, but what can I say - getting money from your work is nice, too. Money is distributed proportionately to the number of the writer's articles on the site.
Have we ever gotten any money? No, but it's a nice concept.

This is a vase I bought at a University of Florida pottery sale. It shows a guy thankfully drinking sewage water while holding a ticket ("you are number 50") while number 49 is being digested in a cellar, which is how I like to think about life. This website draws upon that cynicism. Hence, the website is called, "Digesting 49."
