Tim Tebow, quarterback for the Florida Gators and winner of the Heisman trophy, has had it. “I was just feeling the pressure all the time,” says Tim Tebow. “It was becoming excruciating. I couldn’t breathe.” Everyone wanted a piece of him. Everyone wanted help. Tebow admits, “When you see the joy it brings people, the way it changes lives just because you took the time to talk to them. I mean, it can be kind of draining. You can get worn out with some of it. But you see the job.”

According to an article in Florida magazine, “The requests for speaking engagements kept coming. The pleas for a visit to help a sick child didn’t slow down. UF officials estimate that approximately 200 requests have come their way since Tebow stepped on campus.” What did Tebow need? He needed a friend, and he found that in Ben Benton of the Philippines, where Tebow does social work.

“When I met him, he was just crushed,” states Ben Benton. “I told him, ‘Sometimes you just have to say, “No.” Relax, man. You can’t do it all.’” Since then, Benton and Tebow have become the best of friends, frequently IMing each other. “We’re best of pals,” says Benton. “Best of pals.”
